Plant Limited Return Policy

At Good Natured Plants, we take great pride in the health and quality of our live plants. However, due to the inherent risks involved in shipping living botanical products, we have very limited returns and refund options.

All plants are guaranteed to be healthy and free of visible pests or diseases at the time of shipment from our nursery. Plants will also be true to their advertised botanical names and descriptions to the best of our knowledge. Website photos are representative samples - actual size and appearance may vary due to natural growth.

Once a plant is delivered to the shipping carrier, it becomes the customer's property and responsibility. We cannot guarantee nor provide refunds for unsuccessful growth, improper planting or care by the customer after delivery.

Living plants are perishable products. Shipping inevitably causes some transplant stress and temporary wilt, but properly cared for plants will typically recover and thrive. Any claims for damaged or defective plants must be made within 3 days of delivery with photographic evidence. We will not issue refunds beyond this period.

We are subject to state and federal agricultural regulations. Uncontrolled returns could spread pests or pathogens, requiring costly inspections and certifications that far exceed plant values. To safeguard our nursery, we do not accept returns or issue refunds except under extraordinary circumstances evaluated strictly case-by-case.

Instead, we focus on educating customers with all accepted orders. Comprehensive planting and care instructions specific to each plant are included. We are also always happy to provide personal advice and guidance to ensure your success. Our aim is to set you up for growing healthy, happy plants right from the start.

By ordering from Good Natured Plants, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all policy terms. You accept responsibility for the plant once delivered in good condition, along with all associated risks of establishing a living botanical product like improper planting, adverse weather events, pest infestations, or diseases outside of our control.

Our top priority remains delivering healthy, accurately described plants through safe shipping practices. We are not, however, able to guarantee results or survival after the plant leaves our care. With some upfront preparation and attentive care, most plants can thrive in their new homes.

Conditions for returns

In order for the goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The goods were purchased in the last 30 days

  • The goods are in the original packaging

The following goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.

  • The supply of goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, for example goods which deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.

  • The supply of goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

  • The supply of goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

Returning Goods

All returns must be approved prior to shipping your return to us.. You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the goods to us.

We cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, we recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the goods or proof of received return delivery.

Gifts

If the goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give it to you later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
