Identify Your Trees

As gardeners we have all either forgot to label our plants at one time or another or have had labels fade over time making it impossible to identify what we had planted. As a nurseryman, I've witnessed firsthand the difficulties customers face when they lose a tree and can no longer identify its variety. This presents a challenge not only in finding a suitable replacement but also in cases where the lost tree was a crucial pollinator for another. Without its pollinator, the remaining tree may no longer produce fruit, compounding the problem. This underscores the importance of knowing and documenting the varieties of trees on one's property to ensure that they can be properly maintained and replaced if necessary.
